Co-op Pioneer Awards 2021
The Black Arts provided comprehensive visual event direction and production for the awards that took place on Wednesday 10th November. This included a giant rotating awards globe that mirrored those at Cop26 which was taking place at the same time, a luxury “Airport Check-in Area”, a massive jungle (complete with an animatronic elephant and gorilla, a Savannah with 180 degrees digital” time slice” rig and numerous bars, a matching silent disco, a gigantic “Ibiza” night club (with the Urban Soul Orchestra performing “Ibiza Classics”) as well as the stage and lighting design.
Becky Hill was the main act whilst the Co-op’s “Undiscovered” Acts brought two Co-op Colleagues, two Co-op Academy Students and a Supplier winner from Brewdog. Two dance troupes representing Argentina and Ghana as well as live interviews and no less than 12 Awards and 42 Video Packages completed the 2-hour show.
Creative was by the Coop and The Black Arts Company with technical origination and support from Stirling Events Group and logistics managed by Red Alligator.
It was attended by 1,400 people and raised almost £500k for chosen Charity “Mind”.
