Sometimes it’s not where you end up that denotes success but where you started from.
The Black Arts Company were asked in 2015 to refresh and rebuild an event that should be among the most prestigious Awards Events in UK Sport.
We discovered that papering over the cracks tends to leave cracks underneath and this event required so many fundamental changes, many of which the PFA was neither ready nor willing to make.
However, we are very proud of the necessary changes we eventually accomplished.
The most frustrating, unprofitable and ungrateful job of all time no doubt but watching Leicester City sweep the board and the Premier League in 2016 and being responsible for making a film hosted by Kasabian’s Tom and Serge whilst setting Jamie Vardy’s 11 goal record to the bands “Stevie” track takes some beating (as does Jamie)
Five years later The Black Arts is proud to have moved the Awards to a place where it can now become what it always should have been.
