On October 3rd the PFA held its third mental health conference.
The widely attended event, at the FA St Georges Park was designed to discuss the views of current players on mental health
but importantly collected examples of both results and best practice from 67 Football Clubs across the English Divisions as well as The FA, EFL,
The Women’s Super League and The Premier League.
NHS England’s National Clinical Director for Mental Health Services, Professor Tim Kendall spoke of progress in the treatment of Mental Health and the previous year had witnessed a “heated debate” between Tim and guest speaker Frank Bruno MBE

It was hosted by Mark Clemmit of the BBC and the PFA’s Head of Player Welfare, Michael Bennett.
